Kadhi



Indredients:

  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 3 cups water
  • 2/3 cup besan (chickpea or garbanzo flour)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 T. sugar
  • 1 inch piece of ginger
  • 1 inch piece green chili
  • 1 T. oil
  • 1 tsp. cumin seeds


  • Mix yogurt, water, besan, salt, and sugar.
  • Mince ginger and chili, then puree in food processor,. if desired, and add.
  • Boil 15 minutes.
  • In a separate pan, heat oil, and fry cumin seeds for about 1 minute.

Stir into kadhi, and serve.
